Addictions Treatments

Most of our treatments are part of comprehensive treatment plans and we have team approach. Our addiction medicine doctors, addiction nurses, psychologist, counselor and/medical social workers work in a very collaborative environment in an attempt to provide most compassionate and condusive environment to help them to stay sober.

Outpatient Services


  • Broadly speaking detox for patients coming off drugs or alcohol, outpatient for stable patients in recovery and counseling on ongoing basis.

Home Detox


  • Mostly alcohol withdrawal symptoms but sometimes opiate addiction patients can also be detoxed at home. During your intake process on the phone, history and physical exam and urine testing will help us to decide if home detox can be practical and a safe option.

  • We accept almost all major private and public insurances in Massachusetts and New Hampshire including Medicare. Please call use to inquire if you any specific question.

Addiction Psychiatrist


  • We are primarily addiction medicine practice and do not have addiction psychiatrist on staff but have a network of addiction and general psychiatrists in area and work very close with them. That is reason we encourage our patients to sign release of information so can closely coordinate with your clinicians including psychiatrists.

  • We are NOT a dual diagnosis facility but many of our patients have both addiction and psychiatric conditions. There is quite a significant overlap between addiction to alcohol drugs and psychiatric conditions and one may make other worse in this vicious cycle. We be happy to see you if your psychiatric condition is stable and encourage to have a psychiatrist. We do not prescribe benzodiazepines or other psychiatric medicines but be happy to connect with one of area psychiatrist in our network in that regard.

Addiction Psychology


  • We are not a psychology practice per se but have an addiction psychologist on staff. We believe our addiction psychologists play an important role in understanding patients psychological build up and predisposition for addiction and help our patients greatly to maintain their sobriety.

Cost of addiction Treatment


  • Home detox involves initial intake on the phone or in person by our staff, patient evaluation by our physician and diagnostic for definite diagnosis and to evaluate feasibility and ensure safety of home detox. If patient is determined to be a candidate for home detox, he/she be seen in our office on daily basis, initial treatment is started in our office and patient is observed in office for couple of hours. Then patient is sent home with a sober family member or significant other with an app on patient's phone or iPad which can be used to connect patient with our reception, nurse and doctor. In order to provide this extensive service and to keep a receptionist, nurse and doctor to be on calls costs us which is transferred to patient. In short, home detox is a concierge practice model and costs patients. Again, there is no compulsion to avail this service and patient can opt to go to area hospitals for acute detox and we be happy to see them on out patient basis which is mostly covered by insurances.

  • 95% of our patients have health insurances. If we accept your insurance, your out of pocket cost is determined by your insurance. We will charge you your co-pays, deductible or coinsurance during your visit and submit bill to your insurance. Your insurance company will process claim and either pay us or inform us to charge patient. At that stage your card on file can be charged after informing you or invoice be mailed or emailed to you. If you do not have insurance or your insurance is not accepted by us, we generally charge Medicare rate to such patients, which is around $200 for initial visit and around $100 for follow up visits.
